Persecution: The Church’s Blind Spot

This blog post was encouraged by a friend who sent me an email about a sister in Christ in Sudan who is facing the death penalty because of her faith. This news was reported by CNN International and you can read more about it by clicking here.
For hundreds of years the Church of Jesus Christ has been persecuted. In fact, we see this persecution starting from the time of Jesus’ ministry on earth and more clearly in the book of Acts (Acts 8). The World Watch List constantly monitors the 50 most persecuted countries in the world, and is trusted and relevant information for the church today on this matter.
While most of us enjoy peace and freedom of religion, we must and should live life as if we are part of a body who is suffering today (1 Corinthians 12:12-26). Sometimes ignorance of information and our careless attitude makes  persecution of the global Church of Jesus a blind spot in our commitment to be followers of Christ. So, start today…

  • Keep yourself informed daily
